I read the It's a Conspiracy post on GIM and correctly guessed that it involved Romans and the main perp was Brutus before I finished.

I am curious if you are the Carl that posts over at GIM.

It was fun to read the Silver Mushroom Cloud article again after 8-9 years.

I am not much of a gambler but have made a bet that Butler, GATA and the rest are right about a certain cartel.

I am a ~50 y/o married, semiretired, small businessman living in my dream house in the wilds of Idaho.
At large in central Idaho 30 miles from pavement...
I have been here for 14 years and will be happy to remain till they drag me kicking and screaming off this mountain.
I am a Volunteer EMT and fireman with the local FD and Ambulance service.

I have been all in(PM's) since 2000 when I stopped actively climbing the corporate ladder and realized that pursuing large salaries, huge houses, and constantly more and more toys was going to end badly.
No regrets here.

I feel the same way about working as a debt slave. Forget living in a cookie cutter house in a town, city, or metro of any sort. I don't even care to visit.

Thanks for the nice couple of posts. It's good to see someone is reading the articles.

"The Silver Mushroom Cloud" was a favorite of mine way back when as well. It looks like we became "economically self-aware" at about the same time. I'm currently searching for my Valhala in Minnesota, sans mountains of course.

And yes, the troublemaker over at GIM and I are one and the same.

I really appreciate your posts in the inflation/deflation debates. I do agree with you.

It doesn't help that everyone just reads and repeats the same senseless arguments. "If everyone is thinking the same thing no one is thinking". (Patton or one of his generals)

The gold bugs want to see inflation so they can imagine that they are getting rich.
