This essay exposes and discusses some of the assumptions many people make about the Bill of Rights and suggest some reasons for the misinformation.

Or is it DISinformation?

Well, ya got me on both of those, Carl.

I fell solidly into the "separation of church and state" and "self-incrimination" crowd.

And I didn't believe you so I looked it up.

Wow. Just wow.

Thanks for setting me straight on those.

Now, where does this mis/dis information come from?

I wouldn't get your knickers in a twist about the US Constitution - it's only a piece of paper.

And be careful what you write here if you're American: As far as I can tell, there's no clause in your constitution giving you freedom of speech....

Ah, the "Provokolympics!"

"Nice Try.

Thanks for playin'.

Now take your toaster and go in peace!"

The "provokolympics" --- Teehee

Even though suspect Andrewo is just trying to provoke the yanks on the forum, he also may be right in that the rest of the world can see the decline of liberty, or is more open to seeing it, than Americans are.

as normal carl you have made for an interesting topic, while i dont think anyone on here is being un american, it just sometimes i wish the goverment would work a little more efficently.i think sometimes its easier for the goverment if we dont ask to many questions. but one has to think that america is still the best place to be.not perfect. but pretty dam good.
