Welcome to the Daily Diatribe Forum!

This marks the first official post.

The idea of this section is that we will discuss and debate the contents of this week's article. Since this week's "Diatribe" is really an introduction, I guess I'll just introduce "the plan."

Frankly, this web site is all new to me and I'm still learning how to "drive" it. I'm working to find some good pictures to post as well as one for my Avatar. I plan to post a picture of myself as my avatar so you can look me "in the eyes" during our discussions.

The "plan" is that I will write an article every week and publish it on Friday. (If anyone has an idea for a day better than Friday to publish, please suggest it.) The subject of the weekly "Diatribes" will be whatever happens to be on my mind that week but will likely concentrate on precious metals, banking, constitutional politics, and aviation. Topic suggestions welcome.

Members are supposed to be able to "subscribe" to the weekly article and receive it by e-mail if they choose. I'm still trying to figure out how to make that function work....

I'm hoping to foster the growth of a small, friendly forum where gentle and logical discussions prevail and responsible freedom of speech is practiced. Most of all, I hope that for all of us, learning occurs.
